Argentina Unfinished and Unconfirmed Ponies

 

In around 2002-2005 many Argentina ponies became available to buy on eBay (if you were savvy enough, you could buy from mercadolibre). Amongst these were a number of repaired, unfinished and unconfirmed ponies. There were some people who were rehairing ponies and selling them without mentioning they were rehaired. After a number of complaints, the ponies began to be listed as "repaired hair", these have rough, curly textured hair, which wasn't glued into place. Along side this a vast number of white trotting pose ponies were being sold with random tails, random accessories and random Argentina symbols (Sweet Stuff, Starflower, Glory etc). Collector, Barnacle_lady, discovered that after the toy factory was closed down, may of the employees took home the unfinished ponies. The also took home some of the paint, symbols stencils, hair and accessories as well. Along side the trotting pose ponies, there were collectors pose ponies with random symbols as well, such as Pinwheel, Sweet Stuff and Flutterbye symbols. These odd collectors pose ponies fall under the category of unconfirmed or "fakie" ponies, since they aren't "real" variants.
